Slippping already...
So last night I caved in and ate pasta from Oreganos and cinnimon rolls. I have sacrificed my all day eat fest for this saturday instead of holding back. I now have to go a week and a half without junk food. I guess that'll teach me not to screw that up anymore no matter how crappy my day was... Fuckity fuck fuck.

Pitfalls
So I had an amazing cheat day and stuffed myself full of cookies and bread and fruits.
Then I mistakenly ate more cookies last night. My husband commented that he thought Saturday was my cheat day and I realized that I have a habit of eating crap for comfort or while watching TV if I have nothing for my hands to do. I'm really going to have to watch myself at night or if there is anything left from my cheat day around.
It's the end of week 2 and I have my weigh in tomorrow. Hoping I didn't screw it up too much, but at least I'll know why it happened if I did. Merde.

The Joy of Cheat Days
I have to say, the best way I've been able to make it through the 1st two weeks is by making note of the food I want to eat on my cheat day. Every time I crave a food that isn't on my diet, I make sure to gorge myself on it on Saturday (my delicious cheat day!). Last Saturday, I crammed so many sugars and carbs in my system -while following the slow-carb directions on how to ensure your glucose levels don't spike- that I haven't really desired any treats this week. For me, that's amazing. Having still lost weight after my binge, I'm so encouraged by this that I can't wait to see how far I can go!
I'm already starting my list for tomorrow of foods I am going to devour on cheat day and am excited that I've done so well so far!

Begin at the Beginning... Again
Here begins my adventure to loose weight and get back into shape.
I started the slo-carb diet on August 8th after re-reading the 4-hour Body book by Tim Ferris. After ridding most of my house of all the cookies, snacks and crap that had piled up, I felt I was ready to go without all the distractions. Figuring a Monday was the best time to get going, I set on my journey.
My starting weight was 164lbs. I'm wearing size 12-14 pants and XL shirts. Actual measurements were unfortunately not taken, but at 5'4", I'm way to overweight.
The goal weight is 135-140 and a size 9 pant. I need to hit the gym 3 days a week.
Addendum: As of 8/16 my weight dropped to 158 with 2 days in the gym so far. Looking good so far!
